Built by People Who Know How Hard It Is to Hire AI Engineers

Two decades of software development evaluation taught us a lot. The hardest lesson was figuring out who could actually build AI — and who just looked like they could.

    Our Story

Twenty years of building taught us what was missing.

codeAId was built by a team with over 20 years of experience in software development and technical hiring. Over those two decades, we worked across hundreds of engineering projects — and we kept running into the same problem.

As AI became central to how software gets built, evaluating engineers for ML and AI roles became genuinely hard. Not because the talent wasn't out there, but because the tools to assess it fairly didn't exist. Traditional coding tests couldn't capture what real ML engineering looks like. And as AI tools became more powerful, it became even harder to tell whether a candidate truly understood the work — or was just good at prompting.

We built codeAId to solve that problem.

    The Problem We Solve

Why evaluating AI engineers is broken — and how we fix it.

    1

Traditional tests don't work for AI roles

Algorithm puzzles and generic coding challenges tell you nothing about whether an engineer can build a training pipeline, fine-tune a model, or debug a RAG system. We needed something built specifically for ML and AI engineering.

    2

AI tools are blurring the signal

When candidates can use ChatGPT to complete any coding test, scores stop meaning anything. Our assessments use large, real-world datasets that can't be copied into any AI tool — so every result reflects genuine ability.

    3

Evaluation should be fair and objective

Human interviewers bring bias, inconsistency, and time constraints. We built an AI that evaluates every engineer against the same objective criteria — instantly, at any scale.

    What We Believe

We believe the best way to build strong AI teams is to evaluate engineers on real work — not whiteboard puzzles, not trick questions, not vibes. Real datasets. Real environments. Real ML problems. Scored on what actually matters.

    Our Name, Our Mission

AI Is Now at the Heart of Everything We Do

You'll notice it even in our name. codeAId isn't just a product — it's a commitment to making AI engineering evaluation the standard, not the exception.
